School Culture

One of the main ideas of our school culture is that we don't have holidays. We have days dedicated to our 7 leader skills. Everyone is a leader at our school and we make sure they know that in our attention getters, our announcements, and our expectations. The central idea that we follow is that students are responsible for their own actions, learnings, and responsibilities.

At Kenwood, every student is a leader and they can take control of additional responsibilities and leader roles. One of the roles is during the breakfast shift, certain assigned students will assist us in cleaning the tables. Other students might have a student light house role or council role. every student in every classroom has a specialized role for them to do thought the day.

Responsibility and practice is a key part of the school's culture, and safety and student interaction is another key part of the school. Students got to pick a lot of their future activities for the hard work they have put in, raising money and such. Students can also pick their own classroom rewards as well.
